Welcome to the WellChild 3 Peaks Challenge

On August 5th 2011 five friends will attempt to scale the 3 tallest mountains in mainland Britain in under 24 hours.

The mountains we will ascend include Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. The figures involved in a challenge like this are staggering:

• 10,000 feet of vertical ascent
• 26 miles of walking
• 475 miles of driving
• 5000 burnt calories
• All in 24 hours, or 1440 minutes which really doesn’t sound long!
